After delays ranging from money issues to labor disputes to illness, Peter Jackson’s two-film adaptation of The Hobbit is finally set to begin filming in New Zealand on March 21.
In other recent Hobbit news, Saoirse Ronan has been cast in the first film, and is rumored to be playing the Elf Itaril. The first film is still scheduled for release in December 2012.
