We came across these fascinating video interviews with crime writer Deon Meyer and wanted to share them with you.  The first of these three interviews focuses on Meyer’s life-long love of stories and his journey to finally becoming a story-teller himself.  In the second, Meyer reflects on the importance of his characters’ “humanness.” In the third he reflects on his writing process as a whole.

Deon Meyer’s novels all take place in the context of his native South Africa and have been translated into many different languages. One of his titles, “Thirteen Hours,” was listed as a #1 bestseller in South Africa.  It was also a Deadly Pleasures Magazine Best British Novel of 2010.

The audio versions of his novels “Blood Safari” and “Thirteen Hours,” are available now from Highbridge.
