We’re delighted to report that Legendary Pictures, the powerhouse production team behind such films as “Unbroken” and “Jurassic World,” has assigned director Jim Mickle (“Cold in July”) to direct the film version of John Maclean’s THE ESPERANZA FIRE.
It’s the true story of a tight-knit community of firefighters battling a perfect storm of wildfires near Cabazon, CA in 2006. The fire and resulting deaths led to the first-ever conviction of a wild-land arsonist for first-degree murder.
